EFBs main aim of this program is to reduce number of illiterate people in poor areas; starting at the age of 16 till 35 years old, in a planned period of a minimum of 4 to 6 months in the training course for a number of 750 attendees. There is also a plan to provide 2 training courses per year.
EFB holds partnerships with other NGO’s in Suhaj governorate, some areas in Qenna, Giza and Cairo in addition to partnerships with the Adult Education Authority for two years. As a first phase for the program, they use up-to-date programs and daily skills trainings in order to for the attendees to reach the maximum benefit out of these training classes.
EFB participated in a previous program for illiteracy called “Ishraq”, the program was mainly dedicated to the girls who are forced to abandon education. Our main role was to make them aware of how important it is to be educated, the importance of healthy nutrition and other essencial aspects in life.

2010: providing 22,295 food packages for girls who are being educated under this program.
2011: providing 19,800 food packages and the production of a manual about “healthy nutrition" facts.
